1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

• Encrypted Files: Photos, videos, and documents you choose to protect are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption.
• Authentication Data: Biometric authentication data (fingerprint/face) is handled by your device's operating system and is never transmitted or stored by our app beyond the OS-provided secure storage.
• Browser History: Websites you visit in the private browser are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to external servers.
• App Settings: Your preferences (theme, disguise mode, etc.) are stored locally.

2. Permissions & Data Access

To provide core functionality, ZenVault requires the following permissions:

• All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): This permission is strictly required to manage your encrypted files, allow seamless import/export of vaults, and most importantly, to prevent permanent data loss if the app is accidentally uninstalled. We do not access or collect files outside of your designated vault.
• Camera Access (Optional): Required only if you choose to take photos/videos directly within the vault.
• Post Notifications: Required for displaying background tasks such as downloading files.

3. Information Collected by Third-Party Services

Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

• Device advertising identifiers
• IP address
• Device information
• App usage data

How We Use Information

• Encryption: To secure your files with AES-256-GCM encryption
• Authentication: To verify your identity using PIN or biometric data

Data Deletion

• Uninstalling the App: Thanks to the persistent storage architecture, your encrypted files may survive an accidental uninstallation to prevent data loss. However, you should manually delete or export your files before intentionally removing the app.
• Manual Deletion: You can delete files within the app at any time
• Cache Clearing: Available in app settings

Third-Party Links

The browser feature allows access to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date.

• Storage Location: Vault files are securely managed on your device. The All Files Access permission ensures your encrypted vaults are safeguarded against accidental app uninstalls.
• No Cloud Backup: android:allowBackup="false" prevents automatic cloud backups to ensure your data stays private.
• Network Security: HTTPS-only connections enforced
